Dos Pueblos’ boys volleyball team was able to draw blood against Division II’s top-ranked team on Monday, but the wounds were far from deadly and Westlake was able to put away the Chargers 25-19, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19.
Will McCracken put down 16 kills for DP while Jay Larinan and Kyle Hoffman tallied eight more each. Libero Cole Arutian popped up 18 digs.
“Overall it was a good match against a good Westlake team,” said Chargers head coach Chris Hughes.
DP (1-1) hosts Oxnard on Wednesday.
