Jeana Carrillo threw a six-hitter on Thursday but SBCC couldn’t get any key hits in a 2-0 WSC softball loss at Moorpark.
Kailey Snyder went 2-for-4 for the Vaqueros (9-6, 1-3), who stranded nine runners and were shut out for the third time in four games.
“We’re not getting timely hits,” said coach Paula Congleton. “Our defense and pitching were good again. We need to get our focus back at the plate.”
The Vaqueros play at defending state champion Mt. SAC on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
