Bishop Diego extended Malibu to five games on Thursday, ultimately falling 25-11, 19-25, 25-13, 23-25, 15-8 to the Sharks.
Cardinals head coach Joe Reiken was happy with his team’s performance, thinking it much better than the night before at Santa Ynez.
“Compared to last night, there was an exponential difference,” he said, crediting improved blocking with helping make things easier all around.

The Cardinals (0-2) switch directions on Friday and head north to San Luis Obispo for a weekend tournament.
