Laguna Blanca’s boys tennis team secured a 12-6 non-league victory over Carpinteria on Monday, moving to 2-1 on the season.
The Owls took 6-of-9 singles sets, including two from Max Hong without a loss. Troy Ritter and Alex Greer each won 2-of-3.
In doubles, Peter and Benji Sorensen won two sets before giving way to Patrick Ferroni and Alex Louden, who triumphed in the final round.
Laguna takes on Villanova again Thursday, a week after the Owls edged the Wildcats 10-8.
“That was a really close match so I’m looking forward to the rematch,” said Owls head coach Trevor Thorpe.
