Carson Curtis fired an even-par 70 as the Dos Pueblos boys golf team opened Channel League play with a 369-385 win on Tuesday over Ventura at Buenaventura Golf Course.
The teams were tied heading into the final foursome, and Chargers Lane Fuller (71) and Brett Patton (76) made the difference.
“Shooting 369 is pretty solid. It’s always great to win a league match on the road, because that’s tough to do,” said coach Rob Schiff.
The Chargers (7-2, 1-0) play Santa Barbara at Birnam Wood on Thursday. Ventura is now 7-1, 0-1.
