Dos Pueblos boys tennis head coach Liz Frech shuffled the deck on Tuesday and out came aces. The Chargers moved some players around without the services of top singles player Sasha Gryaznov and defeated visiting Righetti 14-4.
Without Gryaznov anchoring the singles lineup, Sean Handley stepped in and swept three sets and Austin Cano claimed two more sets without a loss.
Many of DP’s doubles combinations were playing together for the first time, with Mitch Hanson and Malcolm Sutton bonding nicely and taking three sets. Sean Simpson and Andy Silverstein took two sets together as did Richard Cheng and Eric Zmolek.
The Chargers, now 3-2 on the season, take on Westlake on Thursday.
