Dos Pueblos’ boys tennis team defeated Westlake in a nailbiter for the second straight season, this time a 10-8 decision at Westlake on Thursday.
The Chargers got the job done in doubles, winning all nine sets. Austin Cano grabbed one win in singles in the final round to make the difference in the match.
Westlake’s top singles players Zach Drost and Mitch Krems were too much to handle for Dos Pueblos, sweeping their six sets.
Dos Pueblos, now 4-2 on the season, opens up Channel League play at Ventura on Tuesday.
