Dos Pueblos’ boys volleyball team was a little too hot to handle for Oxnard on Wednesday as the Chargers posted a 25-13, 25-19, 25-13 sweep of the Yellowjackets.
“It’s a good chance for all the guys to play and play well,” said DP’s head coach Chris Hughes.
The Chargers improve to 2-1 on the season and play in this weekend’s Best of the West tournament. The event is living up to its name for Dos Pueblos, as the Chargers have to face No. 1 Loyola.
Gabe Duncan had a good game for DP against Oxnard, collecting six kills and a block. Roy Van Winkle recorded two aces, two kills and three digs while Preston Mullan came in and put down three kills and a solo block.
