SBCC extended first-place Long Beach to overtime in the first set Wednesday before dropping a 35-33, 30-22, 30-27 men’s volleyball decision to the Vikings.

In the opening set, the Vaqueros led 16-12 and had three set points.
“We were right there with them,” said coach Melody Parker. “The difference was they had a better hitting percentage.”

The Vaqueros will host Santa Monica on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
