Carpinteria suffered its second Tri-Valley League loss of the season to St. Bonaventure on Monday, actually improving on goal differential in a 4-1 girls soccer defeat.
Maritsa Torres helped the Warriors avoid the shutout by scoring a second-half goal. Joselyn Gamez created the opportunity, taking a shot that rebounded to Torres, who powered her attempt through the goalie’s arms and into the goal.
The Seraphs pounded the Warriors 8-1 in their first meeting.
Carpinteria wraps up its season with senior day on Wednesday against Oaks Christian and a road game on Thursday at Nordhoff.
