SBCC showed its depth on Thursday and stayed perfect with a 6-3 WSC women’s tennis triumph at Bakersfield.
“I’ll say it again — we have a deep lineup and we’re winning at the bottom,” said coach Debbie Ekola.
The Vaqueros (4-0, 2-0 WSC) went 4-0 in the last four singles and 2-0 in the final two doubles. Anna Slyutova overcame a 5-1 first-set deficit to win 7-5, 6-2 and Meghan Schaeffer rallied from 5-2 down in the first to capture the No. 6 singles 7-5, 6-0.
