Charlotte Hendrix had a goal and three steals as well as an ejection drawn, but the Santa Barbara High girls water polo team fell to No. 2 ranked Newport Harbor 8-5 at the SoCal Championships in Irvine on Friday.
“We were down by one in the third and two in the fourth, but we just couldn’t get over the hump,” said coach Mark Walsh.
Makenzy Fowler, Samantha King, Kelsey Obrien and Leah Gonzalez also scored for the Dons, who play Laguna Beach on Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
