Lauren McAlister scored twice for Laguna Blanca on Monday, both coming in the second half as the Owls came from behind to defeat Dunn 3-2 in a Condor League matchup.
Erin Stone scored an unassisted goal in the first half to keep the Owls in the game as the Earwigs scored early to take a 1-0 lead.
Monday’s game was one of three straight for Laguna Blanca, which makes up a rained-out game with Cate on Tuesday and then travels to Thacher on Wednesday. Victories in both games would lift the Owls to a league co-championship with the Rams.
“Today was the first leg of a marathon,” said Laguna Blanca head coach Gregg Luna.
McAlister tied the game at 2-2 in the 65th minute off an assist from McKenzie Scarborough and provided the game-winner in the 75th minute.
