The two-time defending CIF champion Chargers (30-0) survived Los Alamitos 9-8 at the Woollett Aquatic Center in Irvine and will return to the same venue on Saturday for the CIF Division I final.
DP trailed 6-5 in the third quarter but took their 9-8 lead on a Kiley Neushul goal with under two minutes to play in the fourth quarter.
Sami Hill, who scored on a length-of-the-pool shot at the end of the first period, made 13 saves in the cage for Dos Pueblos, including one on the Griffins’ final possession.
Saturday’s final will feature the division’s top-two teams as No. 2-seed Newport Harbor defeated Corona del Mar 8-6 in Wednesday’s other semifinal.
