The Dos Pueblos and San Marcos wrestling teams were busy in Oxnard on Friday, setting the stage for Day 2 at the CIF-Northern Division meet at Pacifica High.
The Chargers have seven athletes advancing to the second day of competition while the Royals will have six.
DP’s Chuy Lopez and San Marcos’ Louis Giroux have already qualified for their respective semifinals while all of those in the consolation bracket need to win two matches tomorrow to reach the medal rounds.
David Billesbach and Mario Elias are both alive in the 130-pound consolation bracket. Connor Pfefferle, Luis Urbina, Julian Lake and Tim Wallis will return to Pacifica from San Marcos and Justin Russo, Abraham Lizama, Raul Yescas, Shannon Dixon and Harrison Solomon for Dos Pueblos.
