Facing a 2-1 deficit on Friday, Cate’s girls water polo team went into lockdown mode, holding Nordhoff scoreless for the rest the game in a 4-2 Tri-Valley League victory.
Belle Kammer scored three times for the Rams and Annelies Northup added Cate’s insurance goal by scoring on a fourth-quarter breakaway.
Cate head coach Nathan Alldredge commended the defensive play of Kate Montgomery and the passing of goalie Jazmin Sherwood.
The Rams face Nordhoff again on Monday in Cate’s pool.
