Bishop seniors solid in demolition of Lancers

Bishop Diego’s five seniors out-scored Grace Brethren 14-11 in the first quarter before the regular starters were back in on Wednesday, as the Cardinals picked up an easy 71-38 boys basketball win on Senior Night.

Hayden Slaught had 16 points while Bryan Herrera and Trent Speier had nine, Eduardo Colasante had three Teddy Sleep had two.

Coach Slash Vazquez especially highlighted Herrera, who “played like he was supposed to be out there.”

The Cardinals (14-11, 5-5 Frontier League) will have a play-in game against Santa Paul on Friday with the location to be determined.
