Caitlin Wallace had 15 points and eight steals on Tuesday as the Carpinteria girls basketball team broke away from visiting Santa Paula in the second half for a 38-25 victory.

Kelci Jones came off the bench in the third quarter and sparked an 8-0 run, and Carpinteria (9-7, 1-2 Frontier League) pulled away from there. Mirina DeLeon had 11 rebounds at the guard spot, and Amanda Burch scored a game-high 16 points.
