Hayden Slaught and Sam Kwock were all over the place on Monday night for Bishop Diego’s boys basketball team, giving Laguna Blanca more than it could handle in a 73-50 non-league decision.
Slaught finished with 22 points, six steals, six assists and six rebounds. Kwock was equally as damaging, tallying 18 points, seven steals, eight assists and seven rebounds.
Overall, the Cardinals recorded 18 assists to only four turnovers.
Luther Tarver-Burks poured in 26 points for the Owls and got some help from Brandon Bickett’s 9. Logan Elder and Justin Shand had six points each.
Bishop Diego, 9-6, takes its 0-1 Frontier League record into Wednesday’s clash with Santa Paula, which is 1-0 in league after a win against Fillmore.
