Rams hold the cards against Earwigs

Cate’s boys soccer team secured a key Condor League victory on Wednesday, knocking off the undefeated Dunn School Earwigs 3-1 to stay unbeaten in league itself.

The Rams now hold a 2-0-2 record in league play and are 7-1-2 overall. Thier next game is against Thacher on Feb. 3.

Ema Boateng put Cate on the board with an unassisted goal and Johnny Woolf made it 2-0 at halftime with a score assisted by sophomore Avery Schwartz. Dunn’s Fifi Baiden scored in the second half to cut the lead in half but Schwartz added a goal of his own to complete the final score.

Cate head coach Dave Mochel pointed out notable performances from Juniors Casey Barr, George Luo, Mackie Greason, Jason Park and keeper Grant Redmond.
