Troy Ritter scored a goal and added an assist on Saturday as the Laguna Blanca boys soccer team picked up a 3-1 Condor League win at Midland.

“The entire team played very well,” said coach Kevin Shertzer. “We were calm on offense and determined on defense. We kept Midland to two shots on the day and put tremendous pressure on them from the opening whistle.”
Ritter scored with his head on a cross from Luke Richardson in the 14th minute. The Oaks responded with a goal off of a free kick 20 minutes later, but Laguna’s Sebastian Koch answered right back by firing in a free kick.
“Everyone thought he was going to serve the ball into the box, but he shot and caught the keeper napping,” said Shertzer.
Ritter then assisted Luke Judson on the Owls’ final goal.
