Carpinteria’s girls soccer team didn’t quite finish what it started on Saturday, ending up on the wrong end of a 6-3 Tri-Valley League decision at Nordhoff.
The Warriors scored the game’s first three goals, all from Joselyn Gamez, to quickly take a 3-0 lead.
But Nordhoff recovered two goals before halftime and tacked on four more in the second 40 minutes of play.
Carpinteria, which plays Oaks Christian on Monday, remains winless in league at 0-3.
Yadira Saldana assisted the Warriors’ first two goals and Shirley Benitez connected with Gamez on the third.
