After being deadlocked at 0-0 for the entire first half and then some, Fillmore broke through in the 40th minute and defeated the host Bishop Diego boys soccer team 2-0 in Wednesday’s Tri-Valley League matchup.
The Flashes scored in the 63rd and 71st minutes and outshot the Cardinals 8-5 in the match, and Bishop goalie Corey Yokubaitis had a pair of saves on the day.
The Cardinals are now 3-2-2 overall and 0-1 in the TVL, while the Flashes are 5-3-1, 1-0.
