Bishop Diego’s girls basketball team sank its teeth into a Frontier League victory on Thursday night, taking a bite out of Malibu in a 52-32 decision.
Janelle Kohler recorded a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Courtney Houston filled the stat sheet, posting 12 points, eight rebounds, six steals and four assists. Dalise Spence added four steals to the Cardinals total of 18, many coming off their full-court press.
The Cardinals now hold a 3-1 league record heading into Tuesday’s clash with Carpinteria. It will be a big week for Bishop, which also meets league-leading Santa Clara on Thursday.
Danielle Bush led the Sharks with 14 points, but only three came in the first half.
