Buena’s girls basketball team roughed up Dos Pueblos on Tuesday, sending the visiting Chargers home thinking about a 63-21 Channel League rout.
Kacie Sowell was a thorn in Dos Pueblos’ side, scoring a game-high 24 points.
“They use their size advantage to get easy baskets,” said Chargers assistant coach Mike Gerken. “They just overpowered us down-low.”
Dos Puebl0s had four players in the scoring column, led by Chiara DiMarco’s 10 points. Jasmine Mata tallied six more for DP, now 9-11 overall, 0-3 in league.
The Chargers take on Pacifica on Saturday in a non-league contest before returning to Channel League play on Tuesday against San Marcos.
