The postseason awards have started to roll out and Dos Pueblos’ Carly Wopat claimed one of the big ones on Monday, being announced as Division I’s girls volleyball CIF Player of the Year.

The Stanford-bound senior led the Chargers to a Southern Section CIF title in November before the Chargers fell in the State semifinals to Newport Harbor in early December.
FULL GIRLS VOLLEYBALL ALL CIF-TEAMS
Twin sister Sam Wopat was the only Charger to make the First Team, joined by Santa Barbara’s Emily Rottman and Katherine Keller. DP setter Sammie Brown landed on the Second Team.
CIF finalist Laguna Blanca was recognized with two players on the Division IV First Team. Jackie Harvey and Jessie Ditmore led the Owls to a 21-3 record.
