Defensive players Katie Boehm, Danielle Zola, Amber Altavilla, and Meagan Bellefeuille created a tough barrier for the Yellowjackets to surpass, resulting in only four shots on goal for Oxnard.

The Chargers offense was on point with their determination of scoring with an impressive 21 shots on goal. Head coach Molly Imel thought senior Michelle Gee stood out as a powerful striker and fervently displayed power on the ball.

Although the game resulted in a tie, Imel, returning to coach at DP after eight years, had nothing but praise for her new team, “These student athletes are hungry for goals, unwilling to settle for mediocrity, and are on the way to building, goal by goal, shutout by shutout, a winning tradition in girls soccer at DPHS.”

Dos Pueblos plays again Friday against San Luis Obispo at 5:30 p.m.
