Luther Tarver-Burks hit five treys and scored 22 points, but was the only Owl in double-figures on Wednesday as the Laguna Blanca boys basketball team fell to Thacher in a Condor League matchup, 62-36, at Merovick Gym.
The Owls were close in the first quarter, trailing by just two at 14-12, but lost the second period 17-5. They won the third 14-12 before losing their grip in the fourth.
“We played two good quarters of basketball. Luther continues to lead us in scoring, but we need more people to step up and carry the load,” said coach Sal Rodriguez.
