Noah Tack scored a career-high 20 points and added 11 rebounds as the Bishop Diego boys basketball team improved to 2-0 with a 74-60 win over New Roads in the Laguna Blanca/Bishop Diego Tournament on Thursday.
Elias Munoz chipped in 18 points with 12 rebounds for the Cardinals, who put up 29 points in the third quarter. Tack scored 10 and Hayden Slaught had 11 of his 16 in the period.
“We shared the ball very well. I think we took maybe three bad shots the whole game. It was fun to watch,” said coach Ray “Slash” Vazquez.
The Cardinals continue tournament play tomorrow against Besant Hill at the Brickhouse, with tip-off set for 2 p.m.
