Fencers from San Luis Obispo and West Hills traveled to Santa Barbara last Saturday for the second tournament in the Central Coast Youth Foil Circuit. The event was hosted by Presidio Fencing Club in downtown Santa Barbara.
Local medalists in the Youth 14 event were: Timothy Stanton (gold) and Sophie Russo (silver). Medalists in the Youth 12 event were: Sean Strong (gold), Matthew Schmidt (silver), and Steven Henderson (bronze). Local Youth 10 medalists were: Carter Block (gold) and Miles Johnson (bronze).
The third tournament in the Circuit will be held in San Luis Obispo in January.
