Santa Barbara shakes off Scorpions with ease

Santa Barbara found the Camarillo Scorpions to have rather mild venom on Wednesday, stampeding the Scorpions 66-40.

Rebecca Griffin scored 23 points before sitting for most of the second half. Tess Emerson added to the damage, collecting 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Dons head coach Andrew Butcher thought Zoe Echternacht played an excellent game, grabbing five rebounds and scoring four points.

Santa Barbara makes it to its own Tournament of Champions with a 6-2 record. The Dons, playing in the Green Division, open up against Sacred Heart of Atherton on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
