Visiting Pacifica scored in the first minute against San Marcos’ girls soccer team on Thursday and it held up as the Tritons downed the Royals 1-0 at Valley Stadium.
“It was just not a very strong performance, quite frankly,” said Royals coach Lloyd Biggs. “We dominated the ball in the second half, but our decision making kept us from getting an end result… I suppose the good news is we’re competing well and keeping long possessions.”
Biggs said that freshman Caroline Vance turned in a solid performance for San Marcos (0-2), which hosts Nordhoff on Monday.
