In the first of a Ventura County back-to-back, San Marcos suffered a 2-0 loss at Moorpark on Wednesday.
The Royals (0-3) travel to Agoura on Thursday.
“It was just one of those games where they were better technically and physically,” said San Marcos head coach Lloyd Biggs, who was nonetheless pleased with his team’s better play in the second half after a lackluster beginning.
Kaylin Koopmans played a good game defending the goal and was supported by a strong game from left-back Rachel Venturino, according to Biggs. He also noticed that Ali Raack played an “inspired game.”
“We’re still confident,” Biggs finished.
