San Marcos won its second game in as many days at the Coast Union Tournament on Friday, taking down Taft 57-37.
The Royals featured a balanced attack, putting nine players in the scoring column. Thayer White talliied a team-high with 10 points and added five rebounds. Matt Welsh contributed nine points. Bennie Kirkwood went for eight points, eight rebounds.
The Royals jumped out to an 18-11 lead after the first-quarter and used a strong second-half to cause the rout.
San Marcos stands at 5-2 now with the win and moves on to play the winner of Morro Bay and North County Christian on Saturday.
