Cate earned its first win of the season on Saturday after a long bus ride through the rain, defeating Environmental Charter School 38-12.
Senior Grace Williams tallied a game-high 11 points and added seven rebounds. Erin Griffin posted six points for the Rams, now 1-2.
“Two things clicked for us,” said assistant coach Jim Masker. “We had a much tighter defense and we did a much better job of rebounding.”
The Rams also shared the ball, dishing out 10 assists on 17 field goals.
