Cate’s girls water polo team dropped a 10-4 decision to visiting Mayfield on Saturday, falling to 1-3 to start the season.
Belle Kammer led the Rams in scoring with two goals while Kate Montgomery and Lexi Greenwald scored one apiece.

The Rams struggled offensively, managing to score their first goal just before halftime.
“When we get into a ryhthm we can get our offense going, but for some reason that wasn’t the case today,” said Cate head coach Nathan Alldredge.

Cate staked Mayfield a 5-1 halftime lead before faring better in the second half.
“Their set was a really strong player so we just started doubling on her and that helped us a lot,” said Kammer, Cate’s leading scorer on the season.
Cate travels to Hueneme for its final game of 2009 on Wednesday.
