Laguna Blanca romped to a 5-1 league-opening win over Ojai Valley School on Wednesday, sparked by Troy Ritter’s two first half goals.
The Owls took a 3-0 halftime lead behind Ritter’s scores and one from Seth Judson. Luke Judson and Dawson Ingersoll added second half goals sandwiching a converted OVS penalty kick.
Laguna head coach Kevin Shertzer liked the Owls’ fifth goal especially because it involved several new players this year. Freddie Williamson started the combination by finding Tanner Dalton. Quickly, Dalton passed to Charley Mullaney who connected with Ingersoll.
