Belle Kammer has been Cate’s leading scorer all season long, but none of her goals have been as important as her fourth of the day on Wednesday.
It came in the game’s third overtime period, giving the Rams a 9-8 sudden-death victory at Hueneme.
Junior Carly Biedul fed Kammer at 2-meters and Kammer knew what to do from there.
Junior Kate Montgomery had kept Cate alive in the second overtime period by scoring her third goal of the match with 12 seconds on the clock to draw the Rams even at 8-8. It was 6-6 all at the end of regulation.
Cate, playing in its final game before winter break, will start Pacific View League play in January with a 2-3 record.
Lexi Greenwald and Jamie Haight also scored for Cate.
