DP dominates by 46-point margin

Matt McClenathen and Robbie Mestas reached double figures for Dos Pueblos on Wednesday at the Simi Valley Tournament, as the Chargers left little suspense in a 74-28 thrashing of San Fernando Valley.

McClenathen, who scored a team-high 22 points in Tuesday’s season opener, racked up another 18 points and nine rebounds. Senior forward Mestas recorded 17 points.  Daniel Prichard tallied six of DP’s 17 assists.

The Chargers built up a 37-15 halftime lead before more than doubling it in the second half.

Dos Pueblos (1-1) faces Saugus on the third day of pool play on Thursday.
