The Carpinteria girls volleyball team collected a Tri-Valley League win at Malibu on Tuesday night, taking a bite out of the Sharks 25-21, 26-24, 25-15.
The Warriors swept Malibu for the second time this season.
“I think we were still emotionally drained from the Bishop match,” said Warriors head coach Katie Dolge, referring to Thursday’s five-set loss to the Cardinals on Senior Night. “It took us awhile to get going.”
Game 2 was the tipping point in which Carpinteria won the final two points after a 24-24 tie to take a commanding 2-sets-to-0 lead.
Yadira Saldana tallied a team-high nine digs while Erin Harris recorded a team-high in kills with six. Kelci Jones led the team with three aces.
The Warriors close out their 2009 season on the road Thursday at Oak Park.
