Pacific League champion Arcadia ended San Marcos’ girls tennis season on Thursday, sending the Royals home for good after a 13-5 decision in the first round of CIF’s Division II playoffs.
Seniors Shelby Zylstra and Amy Kinsella combined to win three sets for the Royals, but San Marcos recorded just one more win in doubles, its strength throughout the season.
Caitlin Mannix claimed the Royals’ lone victory in singles.
San Marcos hits the books with a 10-5 record and finished second in the Channel League at 6-2.
