Anna Dwyer had a nine-point service run in the first set and a 10-point spree in the third as the Laguna Blanca girls volleyball team wrapped up a stellar regular season by sweeping Dunn 25-6, 26-6, 25-20 Wednesday.
Jackie Harvey led the No. 6 Owls with 11 kills, who improved to 17-1 on the year and finished Condor League play at 6-0 without dropping a set the whole way.
Dwyer’s run in the third set dug Laguna out of a 9-4 deficit.
Laguna was ranked as high as third earlier in the season before suffering its only loss to No. 9 Viewpoint, but coach Jim Alzina said he is just fine with his team’s ranking heading into the postseason.
“I’m happy with the sixth spot. I think we might be able to creep up on some of these teams,” he said.
