The doubles team of freshman Helena Davila and sophomore Elise Scheuermann picked up a set win over Thacher’s No. 2 team as part of Laguna Blanca’s 13-5 win over the Toads on Wednesday.
The Owls (7-4, 4-2) wrapped up second place in the Condor League with the victory, and now await the upcoming CIF playoff draws.
“That was their first really quality set win of the year and was good to see,” said Owls coach Brian Antecki.
Liza Fletcher went 3-0 at the top singles spot while Caitlin Connor and Olivia Liedman were 3-0 as the top doubles team. Arabella Watters and Kelsey Chesterfield were 2-1 in singles, and Lauren Conk/Julia Grienitz were 2-1 in doubles.
