The Santa Barbara Foresters 10th annual Turkey Day Shootout Golf Tournament is set for Wednesday, November 25th at Glen Annie Golf Course.
The proceeds will benefit the Foresters’ Hugs for Cubs Foundation, which provides support to pediatric cancer patients.
Sadly, 2009 Hugs for Cubs hero Trent Gerke passed away on November 9th at the age of 13 due to complications from leukemia, but his time with the Foresters was memorable and inspiring to players, coaches and fans alike.
The foundation, founded by the late Eric Pintard, serves to brighten the lives of youngsters like Trent through time spent with the Forester community, and it has done so with hundreds of kids over the years.
