Dos Pueblos received the No. 1 seeding for the Southern California Division 1 regional bracket of the CIF State Girls Volleyball Championships.
The Chargers (30-2), who swept Huntington Beach in the Southern Section 1-A final on Saturday, will play host to Los Alamitos in a first-round match on Tuesday at Sovine Gym. Los Alamitos (30-8) lost to Newport Harbor in four games in the 1-AA final at Cypress College.
This will be the second meeting between DP and Los Alamitos. The Chargers needed five games to beat the Griffins at home back on Oct. 9.
The other matchups in the Division 1 southern regional are Torrey Pines at Clovis West, Newport Harbor at Granada Hills and Huntington Beach at La Costa Canyon.
Laguna Blanca also received a berth in the State Tournament. The Owls (21-2), runners-up to Whittier Christian in the Southern Section 4-AA Division, will travel to Visalia on Tuesday to play Central Section champion Central Valley Christian (29-3) in a Division 4 first-round match.
The second round will be played on Saturday, Nov. 29 and the regional final is Dec. 1. The state finals are slated for Dec. 5 at UC Irvine’s Bren Center.
