The Santa Barbara City College football team had an offensive surge on Saturday, beating host L.A. Valley 41-24.
The Vaqueros (3-6, 2-6) rushed for 245 yards on 37 carries as a team. Sophomore Tristan Carter score on touchdown runs of 48 and four yards, finishing with 138 yards on just 13 carries.
Cale Carson was poised in just his second collegiate game, as the quarterback went 12-for-18 passing for 178 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
The Vaqueros scored two touchdowns in the final six minutes to put the game away.
SBCC hosts its final game next week at 6 p.m.
