Without winning, Vaqs extend 1st-place lead

SBCC didn’t score a goal on Tuesday but still came away with a 0-0 men’s soccer tie at Oxnard.

It was the second straight tie for the Vaqueros (6-5-4, 6-0-3), who remained unbeaten in WSC North play. They extended their lead over second-place Canyons (6-3-0) to three points (21-18), thanks to Hancock’s 4-3 win over Canyons.

The Vaqueros will be at home Friday to play Citrus at 7:30 p.m.
