There wasn’t much movement at the top of the CIF polls released Monday, as Dos Pueblos and Santa Barbara girls volleyball, Dos Pueblos boys water polo and Santa Barbara girls tennis all went unchanged.
Dos Pueblos is No. 1 in Div. I-A for the second straight week in girls volleyball, directly followed by the Dons. Laguna Blanca did see some movement in Div. IV-AA, but in the wrong direction, falling from No. 3 to No. 6.
Santa Barbara girls tennis maintained its No. 2 ranking in Div. II even with a 14-4 loss the Campbell Hall, which fell from No. 2 to No. 3 in Div. I. Other than the loss to the Vikings, the Dons dominated in two Channel League wins last week.
Dos Pueblos and Santa Barbara are No. 4 and No. 10 in boys water polo’s Div. I. The Dons must get past San Marcos and Buena this week before the first meeting of the season between the Chargers and Dons on Tuesday.
In cross country, the Dos Pueblos boys are on the list at No. 13 in Div. 1. The Cate girls team is climbing, reaching No. 7 in Div. V.
