The Carpinteria girls volleyball team gave away plenty but took nothing in return on Tuesday. It amounted to a 25-16, 25-16, 25-15 Tri-Valley League loss to visiting St. Bonaventure.
The Warriors, who tallied 13 service errors, did not record an ace in the match against the already tough Seraphs, No. 7 in CIF Div. II-A.
Carpinteria head coach Katie Dolge was happy with the defense, led by Yadira Saldana’s team-high 15 digs and Erin Harris’ five blocks, and expects her team to come out with more energy on Thursday when it hosts rival Bishop Diego on Senior Night at 6 p.m.
