A day after rallying before ultimately losing to No. 22 Long Beach State, the UCSB women’s volleyball team lost on Saturday night to Cal State Fullerton 25-23, 25-22, 25-21.
Rebecca Saraceno led the Gauchos with 14 kills, the only UCSB player to crack double-figures as UCSB lost its second straight match for the first time this season.
UCSB is now 11-4 overall and 2-2 in the Big West. Cal State Fullerton is now 11-5, 2-1.
Three Titans had double-digit kills, as CSUF was led by Erin Saddler’s 15 kills.
UCSB’s Chelsey Lowe had 13 digs to lead the team as Leah Sully and fellow freshman Olivia Ruff each had 10. Setter Dana Vargas had 39 assists.
